Last year, Hypebeast unveiled the Fall / Winter 2024 collaboration between adidas and Moon Boot – a collection consisting of winterized footwear silhouettes, apparel, and accessories. Today, the two brands have joined forces again to release another snow-sports-meets-street collection.
Similar to last year’s collection, the new adidas x Moon Boot outing offers full unisex looks, with each piece demonstrating the season’s clear design narrative of mountain-to-street and winter-ready urban exploration.
There is a skin-tight onesie that features an all-over adidas & Moon Boot logo pattern, as well as those all-important thumb holes across both “Purple” and “Black” colorways. There is a full tracksuit in “Silver” and “Black” and also a super oversized reflective puffer jacket. Each apparel piece – especially the puffer jacket – is a playful nod to the now timeless Moon Boot design and also demonstrates the sci-fi futurism design codes that both brands intended to bring to the collection.
On the footwear side, the two new silhouettes appear as an equal mix of both brands. The ‘Moon Boot Ultraboost’ manifests itself as more of a traditional sneaker. It’s based on Adidas’ responsive BOOST, finished with a new versatile lacing system across “Black” and “Silver” options. The ‘Moon Boot ACE’ takes the form of a more traditional Moon Boot through combining the tried-and-tested Moon Boot padded upper with adidas’ signature Lightstrike midsole in the same color options.
The accompanying campaign images were shot by French photographer Julien Boudet and his creative studio, Bleu Mode. Fittingly, the star models are former footballer Djibril Cissé and cross-country skiing champion Frida Karlsson. Collectively, the images bring home the drop’s space age aesthetic and also nod to collaborations efforts to tie different cultures – like sports and fashion – together in pieces that are both icy and fresh yet timeless.
adidas x Moon Boot FW25 launched worldwide November 20, in stores and on both the adidas and Moon Boot websites.
