The RM 16-02 reimagines Richard Mille’s signature style with a rectangular, monolithic design that embodies brutalist architecture. Its clean, geometric lines provide elegance, while the skeletonized CRMA9 in-house movement, crafted from grade 5 titanium, reveals the intricate engineering beneath its surface. The movement features meticulously chamfered apertures that maximize light flow, highlighting the artistry of its construction.
At just 4.12 mm thick, the extraflat movement showcases a free-sprung balance with variable inertia, ensuring greater reliability and precision over time. The use of a platinum rotor with the OneWay winding system and ceramic ball bearings optimizes the efficiency of the automatic winding mechanism while maintaining the watch’s slim profile.
