Update: On Thursday, Pharrell unveiled his all-new creative platform, VIRGINIA, and along with it came a limited release of the VIRGINIA Adistar Jellyfish in the orange colorway. The sneaker quickly sold out upon the platform’s launch, though it’s still slated for a wider release via adidas on August 23 for $300 USD. See the design in the gallery above.
Update: One of the most exciting new footwear models to appear this year is Pharrell and adidas’ Jellyfish sneaker. Since debuting at Paris Fashion Week in January, we’ve seen Pharrell sport the sneaker several times, including at the end of his recent runway shows for Louis Vuitton Men’s. As adidas prepares for the sneaker to launch to the public, official images of the kicks have been shared, highlighting its lead “Orange” colorway that we discussed previously below. Oversized overlays bring depth to this enlarged rework of the Adistar Cushion as off-white, white, orange, black, and olive detailing create a striking composition. Look out for the pair to launch on August 15 via adidas and select retailers at a starting price of $300 USD and stay tuned for more news regarding the model.

Now, a closer look at what to expect from the unique silhouette has surfaced. As described in our initial breakdown below, the special structure sports not only depth via contrast in color, but its pronounced overlays as well. Pharrell’s “Virginia” branding is accompanied by a new “jellyfish” logo that is present at both the tongue and sockliner. Release details remain vague, however, it is expected to drop later this year around a $280 USD price point via adidas and select retailers.

Original Story: It’s been a particularly busy week for Pharrell. The multi-hyphenate brought forth his triumphant Fall/Winter 2025 Louis Vuitton Men’s collection, teaming up with NIGO in the process, while also teasing a new sneaker with adidas at the same time.
This new pair is named the Jellyfish and is the latest of a long list of collaborations between Skateboard P and the Three Stripes, a partnership that had been relatively quiet last season. While little details have been shared, it has been spotted in two different colorways. The first is a white, off-white, orange and black iteration that is pictured here and the other is an all-gray version worn by Pharrell himself. Looking closer at the shoe, its chunky shape is accentuated by geometric overlays that include the Three Stripes at the midfoot of each side. The heel features adidas’ classic logo while the tongue sports not only this logo, but a special “jellyfish” callout and nod to Pharrell’s home state of Virginia.
