MIKE Drops Off "Bear Trap," Shares More Details on Tenth Studio Album
‘Showbiz!’ is due out January 31.
MIKE is readying for the release of his tenth studio album. With Showbiz! slated to drop at the end of the month, the emerging rapper has shared the third single lifted from the imminent project.
“Bear Trap” – co-produced by longtime collaborator Darryl Johnson and MIKE under his dj blackpower alias – marks the first cut on the 24-track LP, while his previously released singles “You’re The Only One Watching” and “Pieces Of A Dream.” Features come from 454 and duendita, with guest production coming from Thelonious Martin, Salami Rose Joe Louis, Jacob Rochester, Anysia Kym, Harrison (SURF GANG), ShunGu, Laron and redLee.
Per a press release, the album “examines the various iterations of himself that MIKE has shared through his music and reflects on the past several years of his ascension as an artist to paint a cohesive picture of who he wants to be moving forward.”
