Logitech has been making computer peripherals for over 40 years, amongst which is the world’s very first wireless mouse launched in 1984.

One of its latest, however, is the MX Creative Console – a highly customizable productivity tool with a keypad and dialpad that users can program to their liking to suit their individual needs. The new device is aimed at creatives working across a range of disciplines and applications, including photographers, video editors, graphic designers and more. It’s “designed to help people redefine their workflow, enabling them to work smarter and faster,” according to Logitech’s Anatoliy Polyanker, who added that the brand is “tapping into the key trends of democratizing digital creation, 3D design and spatial computing, and AI-enabled workflows.”

Logitech has also teamed up with Adobe to ensure that the brand’s suite of creative applications including Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom Classic, Premiere Pro, After Effects and Illustrator are all supported natively. Other apps are also supported, ranging from Spotify to Apple Music and Ableton Live, or Zoom to Microsoft Teams and beyond.

The keypad on the MX Creative Console features 11 face buttons, nine of which can be programmed to specific functions within the apps. These buttons display the selected tool with both an icon and with text, a combination that helps to quickly engage users. And both the icons used and the text are automatically changed when the user switches a button’s functionality for another tool, requiring no additional manual work from the user. The other two buttons found on the face of the keypad are a simple left and right arrow, which you can use to switch between up to 15 pages of settings, or 135 different actions. Setting the keypad up is as simple as dragging and dropping the tools or actions you want into place, which users can do via the accompanying Logi Options+ app.

On the other hand, the dialpad features just four buttons, together with a “fluid roller” and “contextual dial”. The four buttons in question are for back, forward, left and right actions, while the roller can be used for navigation or zooming in and out like scrolling up and down on a traditional mouse.

The Logitech MX Creative Console is available now in two colors, Pale Grey and Graphite, priced at £199.99 GBP / $199.99 USD.
