The worlds of graffiti and contemporary art collide in Namecaps: Spaceman, a joint exhibition by renowned artists Jahan Loh and Josh Franklin, aka STASH. Marking the inaugural art showcase at Central Chidlom, the exhibition explores the transformative journey of graffiti from its raw street origins in New York to its global influence, particularly in Asia.

Namecaps: Spaceman, presented in collaboration with ArtCEO, examines graffiti’s evolution across space and time, using the 12-hour time difference between Brooklyn and Singapore as a symbolic anchor. This juxtaposition serves as a thematic lens, capturing graffiti’s universal language and its power to transcend cultural and geographical boundaries.

Through their collective vision, Jahan and Stash infuse Namecaps: Spaceman with the authentic energy of street art while pushing its boundaries into new creative realms, including canvas and consumer products. The exhibition highlights graffiti’s ongoing transformation into a medium of global storytelling, reflecting themes of rebellion, innovation and cultural exchange.

The opening night is set to take place on January 10, from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm, with a range of original works, prints, limited edition sculptures, collectibles, merchandise and more available for purchase. Notably, fans of Jahan will also have a chance to collect works from his COSMIC DREAMING exhibition. For those who can’t make the opening night, the exhibition will remain on display until March 4.
