Hublot’s New Spirit of the Big Bang Depicts a Golden Serpent on an Openworked Dial
Celebrating the Year of the Snake.

Hublot has unveiled a new limited-edition time-teller in celebration of the upcoming Lunar New Year. This year, the Swiss watchmaker reimagines the Spirit of the Big Bang in the spirit of this year’s zodiac animal.
Aptly named Spirit of Big Bang Year of the Snake, the reference arrives in a 42mm micro-blasted and polished black ceramic case. Displayed at the heart of the openworked watch face is a gold-plated serpent appliqué, whose body swirls around the trio of subcounters.
This striking display is framed by an understated ceramic dial, imbued with tonal engravings that emulate the appearance of snake scales. This design detail also extends onto the watch’s rubber strap, which also comes in a matte black finish.
Powering this special timepiece is Hublot’s own HUB4700, an automatic skeleton chronograph movement geared with 50 hours of power reserve. The Spirit of Big Bang Year of the Snake will be released in a limited run of 88 examples, available only at Hublot’s boutiques and authorized retailers worldwide.
