Update (February 14): Following the teaser last month, Stüssy and Denim Tears have finally unveiled their collaborative collection.

The 17-piece range consists of apparel and accessories that draw inspiration from Denim Tears founder Tremaine Emory’s high school years in Jamaica, Queens. Uniforms-like staples such as shirts, blazers, cardigans, chinos and messenger bags are reimagined with eye-catching co-branding and motifs. This includes a Double S Wreath and Pan-African American flag, signaling both brands’ roots and hallmarks. Additionally, the collection emphasizes the cultural significance of Spades, featuring Annie Lee’s painting “Six No Uptown,” which reflects the creative expression of the African Diaspora.

Prices range from $55 – $650 USD, the collection will be available across Stüssy and Denim Tears’ websites and select physical stores starting February 14, 10 a.m. PST/1 p.m. EST.

Original Story (January 16): Denim Tears and Stüssy are reconnecting for a new collaborative collection for the upcoming season. Stüssy brand insider Dion Lewis posted to his Instagram Story a selection of items from the new apparel collection to tease the release of the collaboration.

The Tremaine Emory-led brand’s new collaboration with Stüssy sees several co-branded pieces that include the classic cotton wreath pattern come together to from the Stüssy moniker. The same graphic is printed all-over a pair of khaki chinos while other pieces teased include a brown collared shirt featuring the words “Jamaican High” on the front. Other co-branded items include a Denim Tears and Stüssy branded t-shirt, a belt and what appears to be a camo pattern messenger bag or duffle.

While the date for the collaboration has not yet been confirmed, the now-anticipated release will see the two link up once again, utilizing Denim Tears’ pension for patterns, color and text that reference the African American background to combine with Stüssy’s unmatched and widely recognizable branding and silhouettes. The duo reconnected back in 2022 for a collab and Denim Tears “African Diaspora Goods” flagship took over Stüssy’s old Spring Street spot in New York City.

Here is a first look at what’s to come for the new collaboration.
