After building ample anticipation and hype over the past week, Doechii has officially presented the ”Denial Is A River” music video. The Swamp Princess got the whole gang together for the Family Matters-inspired visual, enlisting the likes of Zack Fox, ScHoolboy Q, Rickey Thompson, Teezo Touchdown, Brad Pitt – a.k.a Earl SweatshirtSiR, Baby Tate and DJ Miss Milan.

Arriving on the heels of a theme song “trailer” video and three corresponding skits (“Doechii Slaps Brad Pitt,” “LA ROSA DE DOECHII” and “Can I Hit THat”) the “Denial Is A River Show” envisions the past few years of Doechii’s life through the lens of a sitcom – title cards, background laughter and all.

It opens with Doechii walking into her home with groceries and starting to meal prep as she delivers the track’s introduction; enter Fox as her husband, whom she then catches being flirty with Thompson right next door in the living room.

“I moved on, dropping a couple of songs / Went and got signed / Now it’s 2021,” she spits, respawning in a Mowalola look with a slick-backed ponytail as Touchdown, Q and others post up on the couch. The living room gathering grows into a house party, filled with record label execs, other rappers, and randoms – one of which SiR has to throw out the window.

“Fast forward / Me in 2023,” Doechii spits as walks down the stairs in a third outfit into an upgraded living room – this time its walls adorned with platinum record plaques. She then breaks the fourth wall to talk directly to the camera and the show’s live audience, her flow interrupted by an explosion behind her ala “And just when it couldn’t get worse / My ex crashed my place / And destroyed / All I own.”

See how it all goes down in the gallery above and tune into Doechii’s “Denial Is A Stream” livestream on her YouTube channel later today, January 2, at 6 p.m. EST.
