Anthony Edwards Gifts a Special "Kansas Jayhawks" PE of his AE1 Low to the School’s Basketball Teams
Look out for the “Rock Chalk”-themed sneaker to make an appearance during both squads’ bouts against the University of Houston tomorrow.
It’s been over a year since Anthony Edwards and adidas Basketball first introduced the sneaker world to the adidas AE1 and the model is still thriving. Rather than rush to expand on the series with a sequel, the two went on to introduce the AE1 Low and have continued to present new colorways of both it and its mid-top counterpart.
Now, as the NCAA Basketball season sees both men’s and women’s squads duke it out for a spot in this year’s March Madness bracket, Edwards and the Three Stripes have teamed up to gift the University of Kansas’ two teams a “Kansas Jayhawks” PE of the AE1 Low. The new colorway follows an AE1 Low PE that was made for the teams at the start of the season, this time featuring a white and blue mix at its unique upper. The Jayhawk’s vibrant blue hue hits the uppermost layer while its red is visible at the heel’s Three Stripes branding. School-themed heel tabs and a sockliner that reads “ROCK CHALK” between the two shoes rounds out this special pair.
This “Kansas Jayhawks” version of Anthony Edwards’ adidas AE1 Low is confirmed to be a player-exclusive look and is currently not expected to release to the general public.
