Seiko Readies Two New Presage Cocktail Time Limited Editions
Inspired by award-winning bartender, Hisashi Kishi’s new “Night Time Tokyo” cocktail.
Seiko has added two new limited-edition timepieces to its Presage Cocktail Time collection. Continuing to draw inspiration from Japanese cocktail cultures, the watches derive design cues from Ginza’s renowned Star Bar.
Coming in two sizes – 45.5 mm and 30.3mm – both designs are based on “Night Time Tokyo”, a new concoction created by Star Bar’s award-winning bartender, Hisashi Kishi. The dials come in a mysterious black-to-gray-gradient that references the drink’s intense hue, while the finely textured finish mirrors the ice in the cocktail glass. Accentuating the watch faces are indices and hands in a gold tone as a nod to the drink’s name, while evoking the resplendent night lights of Tokyo.
Both models are powered by Seiko’s in-house 4R35 automatic caliber, geared with 41 hours of continuous running time. Limited to 9,000 pieces, the larger variant retails for £480 GBP (approx. $640 USD), while the smaller size has a price tag of £570 GBP (approx. $759 USD) and is limited to 6,000 pieces only. The watches are accompanied by matching metal bracelets and will be available via Seiko Boutique’s website.
