Rapper Rich Homie Quan has died at 34 years old. While no cause of death has been confirmed at the time of writing, the rapper is confirmed to have passed away in his Georgia home on the morning of Thursday, September 5.
TMZ confirmed the news this afternoon via a statement from Rich Homie Quan’s family and a rep for the Fulton County morgue.
Born Dequantes Devontay Lamar, the certified-platinum talent was best known for his contributions to Young Thug‘s “Lifestyle” in 2014. He first hit the mainstream in 2013, when he dropped his breakout hit “Type of Way.” He followed it up with other notable cuts including “Ride Out” and “Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh),” while continuing to collaborate with fellow Atlanta rappers including 2 Chainz and hopping on the timeless Travis Scott track “Mamacita.”
