Marco Bezzecchi Channels MotoGP’s Dynamic Spirit in Custom Dainese Suit
Find out how you can win the performance garment in the upcoming charity sale.
With no two riders the same, Italian label Dainese launched their Custom Works service on the premise that racing suits should be individually tailored to fit and function seamlessly for each customer. Allowing personalization down to the smallest detail, the service has changed how it manufactures uniforms on a wider scale as well as the way that riders shop for their suits.
As it continues to highlight the need for uniform customization, last month the label linked up with VR46 MotoGP™ rider Marco Bezzecchi to craft a one-of-one suit that encapsulates his free-spirited racing career. Helping the rider realize his vision, Dainese enlisted New York-based designer Dan Connor for the process, bringing forth a dynamic motorcycle uniform.
The final design sees head-to-toe customization of Dainese’s most advanced suit: the Demone GP. Made for today’s leading MotoGP™ legends, it features the brand’s exclusive D-air® airbag system, titanium sliders as well as a boot-in system with the iconic Axial silhouette – proposing the perfect base for the pair’s designs.
As for the outer layer, red panels on the arms and legs are paired with a silver chrome print that emulates a racecourse’s lines. In another playful addition, the shoulders are adorned with a gray animal print while the iconic “I Love New York” logo is stamped on the chest to showcase the rider’s affiliation with the city’s racing circuit. Rounding off the design, “Simply the Bez” is placed in the center of the suit as a statement of his competitive flair.
Having it tested out on the Misano track last month, Bezzecchi will join Dainese to auction the suit for charity. Speaking on his foundation of choice, he says, “I’ve chosen to support AROP because they do extraordinary work in improving the quality of life for young cancer patients and their families. By auctioning the Demone GP Custom Works suit for this charity, I’m involving my fans in something bigger than our sport, raising awareness among as many people as possible about supporting a cause that is so important to me.”
The Custom Works suit will be on auction from September 10-15. To take a closer look at the design and find out how you can place your bid, head to Dainese’s website now.
