As an extension to the KAWS: HOLIDAY installation in Shanghai, AllRightsReserved has announced that it will be releasing a miniaturized version of the installation through DDTstore.

Standing 8 inches tall, the “KAWS BIG MOON” functions as both a vinyl art toy and a mood light. Playing with its smaller scale, the collectible piece boasts a playful twist on its inspiration.

The original installation features the COMPANION cradling a full moon while lying leisurely on the North Bund dock. The lamp features COMPANION in a less relaxing state, as the moon he’s hugging does not come in a much larger size than its body — exuding a comical effect of the character being crushed by the glowing moon.

Starting September 15, 11 p.m. EDT/September 16, 11 a.m. HKT, the “KAWS BIG MOON” lamp will be available to order through DDTstore’s website.
