FKA Twigs x On Challenge Traditional Performancewear in New Campaign “The Body Is Art”
Rolling out new apparel pieces designed for versatile movement.
After making her debut as On Running’s new Creative Partner earlier this year, FKA twigs stars in a new campaign celebrating the brand’s Fall/Winter 2024 training collection.
In her post at On, twigs, an avant-garde dance practitioner herself, is focused specifically on its training division. Entitled “Body is Art,” the campaign confronts traditional ideas of training in favor of mixed movement mediums such as dance.
In a series of mid-movement poses, twigs wears performancewear like the all-day Active-T Graphic, the drawstring waist Movement Joggers and the sweatwicking Movement Bra. As for footwear, she sports On’s Cloudnova X.
Classic white and black tones appear alongside a color palette that includes “Gecko,” “Frost,” “Mulberry,” “Ice” and “Ultramarine.”
“Training puts me in a different mind and body space that elevates me to a higher frequency. When I train, I feel very beautiful, but it’s a beauty from the inside,” twigs said. “It’s got nothing to do with how I look on the outside. It’s just a beautiful feeling. The body is art, so why don’t we approach it that way?”
FKA twigs and On’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection is available online now. The artist and brand will also be hosting a live performance event THE BODY IS ART in London on September 16.
