Rolls-Royce Unveils Limited-Edition Phantom Scintilla
The first of 10 examples in its latest Private Collection.
Rolls-Royce has unveiled the Phantom Scintilla, a limited-edition Private Collection example that pays homage to the Spirit of Ecstasy, the iconic mascot that has been featured on the hoods of Rolls-Royce vehicles for over a century. Revealed at this year’s Monterey Car Week in California, the Phantom Scintilla is limited to only ten examples worldwide.
The design of the Phantom Scintilla draws inspiration from the classical Greek sculpture, The Winged Victory of Samothrace — this influence is most notably present in the ceramic-finished Spirit of Ecstasy figurine. The vehicle’s exterior is finished in a stunning two-tone palette, with Andalusian White on the upper body and Thracian Blue on the lower, a nod to the seas surrounding the island of Samothrace.
Inside, the Phantom Scintilla is a masterpiece of craftsmanship. The interior features an intricate embroidery pattern that spans the coach doors and seats, composed of over 869,500 stitches — a feat that took over two and a half years to perfect. The embroidery, which flows through the cabin like the Spirit of Ecstasy herself, is complemented by a luminescent effect that adds to the vehicle’s dynamic presence.
A standout feature is the “Celestial Pulse” artwork in the Gallery, crafted from aluminum and finished with the same ceramic coating as the Spirit of Ecstasy. This, along with the bespoke Starlight Headliner that mimics the flowing gown of the mascot, creates an ambiance of celestial grace.
At the time of writing, Rolls-Royce has not revealed any information on pricing, however, it did state that all commissions slated for North America are spoken for.
