French-based Nardone Automotive has unveiled the latest example of its reimagined Porsche 928, defying the norms of traditional restoration. This restomod is not just a revival of the iconic grand tourer but a complete reinvention, designed for those who seek something extraordinary.
The Nardone 928 is a celebration of Porsche‘s daring spirit. When Porsche introduced the original 928, it was a bold departure from their rear-engine tradition and now Nardone continues this legacy of innovation. The vehicle features over 3,000 newly designed parts, each crafted to enhance the driving experience while maintaining the car’s signature elegance.
At the heart of this beast is a naturally aspirated 5.0L V8 engine, producing 450 hp and 385 lb-ft of torque, managed by a Motec ECU. The powertrain is paired with a custom-made six-speed gearbox, boasting nearly 200 unique components and a mechanical limited-slip differential, promising an exhilarating drive.
The exterior is a carbon fiber marvel, combining muscular power with lightweight engineering. This material choice aims to enhance performance and contribute to the vehicle’s presence. Nardone has also redesigned the axles, widening the car’s stance for better stability, while the active electronic suspension and quicker ratio power steering ensure precision handling.
