Bloomfield Works Honors Dancehall in New Apparel Collection

Bloomfield Works’ ethos relies on “contemporary expression of impactful Black motifs, music, and cultural reference points,” the New York City-based label’s founder and creative director Warren Cochrane told Hypebeast ahead of the brand’s appearance at Hypebeast Flea New York. Its new drop is no exception to the rule.
Dubbed “Girls Night Fi Shine,” the latest collection from Cochrane’s label arrives as an ode to the women who have contributed to Dancehall culture. Across the offering’s apparel, direct references to classics like 1997 film Dancehall Queen, musician Lady Patra, and the iconic Ouch Crew are evident.
Leading the pack is the “One Love” mesh practice jersey silhouette, which, for the first time, is now available in an earthy brown hue. The “Who Jah Bless” zip-up hoodie surfaces in all-black, stamped with the signature NY airbrush insignia down the middle with a Bloomfield Works logo sewn on the chest. A handful of t-shirts complete the delivery, with notable ones including the “Ms. Joyce” tee and the “Romantic Call” tee.
