Travis Scott's 'UTOPIA: CIRCUS MAXIMUS' Concert Triggered a False Earthquake
Performing to a raucous crowd of 80,000.
Travis Scott is currently on his European leg of his UTOPIA: CIRCUS MAXIMUS tour. Earlier this week, he performed to a crowd of 80,000 in Milan that caused a fake earthquake, sparking worry from locals.
La Flame took to the Ippodromo Snai La Maura open-field venue, rocking the stage and shaking the tectonic plates below when he performed his hit “FE!N” eight times in a row. This is not the first time this has happened before. Travis Scott’s concerts are known for drawing in a raucous crowd. Last year, Scott’s concert at the Archaeological Park of the Colosseum saw 60,000-odd spectators jump so vigorously that locals also thought an earthquake was happening. This time in Milan, local X users complained of the vibrations nearby taking to the social media platform to see if anyone else felt the same movements. One user asked, “Am I the only one who heard the #terremoto in Milan,” while another also said, “Did I alone feel three good tremors of #Terremoto in Milan?” Scott late posted to his Instagram aerial footage of the concert which saw ragers and mosh pits happening in every corner. The caption read, “LAST NIGHT WAS A DREAM. ‘NO THIS ISNT FESTIVAL. THIS A SHOW ON THE TOUR’ IN THE WORDS OF STROMBERG. MILAN YALL OWE ME NOTHING. YALL GAVE YALL ALL 80k OF YALL HAD THE BEST TIME EVER. CIRCUS MAXIMUS. @whitetrashtyler WAS ACTUALLY TURNT ABOUT THIS.”
