Wales Bonner Reissues Its Cadence Sneaker
Between this and the Samba collabs, Wales Bonner has footwear on lock.
Even though Grace Wales Bonner’s eponymous label is known for its tasteful clothes that blend notes of class, prep and sportswear, its footwear has remained some of the brand’s most popular items – especially on the collaboration front. Working with adidas for several seasons, the Wales Bonner x adidas Samba has become a cultural icon in its own right. But even though the collaborative model has soared to new heights, Wales Bonner also keeps its grip on footwear with its own mainline offerings. As such, the brand has reissued its Cadence Sneaker.
Riding the low-top silhouette wave, the shoe features an off-white leather upper that extends to the toe cap, vamp, eyestays, side stripes and heels. But contrasting the light-hued leather components are silver panels. Finishing off the Italy-made shoe is a blue branded tongue flap, red jacquard laces and a deep indigo Vibram sole. Fit for the summer of all-year wear, the shoe is sure to fit right in with the current popularity of low-profile silhouettes. Of course, it’ll pair smoothly with the Wales Bonner’s sporty catalog as well.
