Smino Drops Second Single Since 'Luv 4 Rent,' "Polynesian"
Following up “mister misfit but aint missed a fit in months.”
Smino shows that sometimes slow and steady does win the race, just now unleashing his second studio offering since releasing Luv 4 Rent in 2022. Also marking his second single of 2024, the cut is entitled “Polynesian,” which is a classic Smi offering carried by the St. Louis rapper’s conversational candor and wit.
“Polynesian, I got sauce even on a Sunday / She ride the d*ck like a Hyundai,” he kicks off on the chorus of the reference-filled three-minutes. “Bezel beatin’ like a drum break, it’s the stone age / You should know better than thinkin’ ’bout redemption, is you Shawshank? / She throw it at me ’cause you mad at him / Girl, don’t salt shake me.”

While he also unveiled “mister misfit but aint missed a fit in months” back in February, it seems as though “Polynesian” is the first of a proper return run from the rapper now that he’s no longer on the road.
“somewhere over thurr tour is over now we back 2 da music,” he indicated in an Instagram caption a few weeks back.
