Update: After being teased last week, JJJJound and adidas’ latest project has been fully unveiled. Starring the adidas Samba as the centerpiece to this football-inspired collection, the duo linked up with José Mourinho, depicted in the Instagram post embedded below, who appears in not only the Sambas, but the collection’s all-black track suit as well. Additional apparel offerings involve an all-white co-branded jersey, a shoulder bag and a soccer ball. Looking closer at the kicks, the two have paid homage to the original Samba Tobacco model with its suede upper donning soft brown hues throughout, as outlined alongside its other details in our initial breakdown below. Release is set to take place on June 25 via JJJJound and June 27 via adidas, with the shoes priced at $160 USD.

Original Story: Following months of anticipation, the first JJJJound and adidas collaborative sneakers were finally released at the end of March. As the two brands continue to explore their Samba collaboration, a new colorway has been unveiled. While this new colorway has only recently been announced, it was also previewed in a sneak peek back in 2022.
Going by the name of “Mesa,” the latest iteration boasts a light beige-brown makeover that’s reminiscent of the color as seen on iconic Samba OG gumsoles. This color is accentuated with tan brown accents in the form of shoe laces, sockliners, heel counters the adidas Three Stripes. The upper is composed of hairy suede, while the overlays and accents boast a smooth suede fabrication.
At the time of writing, an official release for the new sneaker is yet to be announced, but the “Mesa” colorway is revealed to retail at $200 USD — a slightly lower price point than the previous iterations that dropped in March.
