JiyongKim Reveals Upcoming Clarks Originals Project
On preview now at Paris Fashion Week.
Jiyong Kim — who was highlighted in our most recent issue of Hypebeast Magazine — and his eponymous label have been on a hot streak of collaborative projects lately. First presenting two SUPER73 E-Bike designs with Kim’s signature sun-bleaching, he followed up shortly after with a Samsung Music Frame speaker collaboration leveraging similar techniques. Now, his label JiyongKim has pulled up to Paris Fashion Week to reveal a footwear project with Clarks Originals.
Utilizing the Wallabee, Trek Cup and Wallabee Cup silhouettes, all four models feature sun-bleached detailing at their uppers. While the Wallabee delivers this element at the base of the shoe, the Trek Cup sports a textured shroud around its collar. The typical Clarks Originals tag is joined by a sun-bleached one nodding to JiyongKim while the sockliner sees golden co-branding adorn its base.
The Wallabee and Trek Cup silhouettes are set to release in Spring/Summer 2025. Meanwhile, the two Wallabee Cup models will be exclusive to JiyongKim’swebshop as a special drop in the near future. Stay tuned for updates as it sounds like the duo have plenty in store for us this year.
