Seoul-based apparel brand JiyongKim is collaborating with California-based premium electric motorbike maker, SUPER73 on two exclusive models. JiyongKim, known for its sun-bleached technique on apparels, is lending its specialty to the design of SUPER73’s urban-cruising S 2 and trail-ready S Adventure models.

Reinterpreted through the lens of JiyongKim, the brand gives the e-bikes a revamped aesthetic with its own unique finishings. Both bikes are fitted with custom luggage and trip using JiyongKim’s signature sun-bleached fabrics. Due to the nature of the technique, JiyongKim’s designs makes each individual unit one-of-a-kind. Creating his garments through the sun-bleaching process, each of JiyongKim’s seasonal pieces get their unique flair from being outside for an extended period of time. Recently a semi-finalist for the LVMH Prize, the fabric bleaching technique is now recognized on a global scale.

Each of the bikes are fitted with with JiyongKim’s fabric, seen on the seat lining and custom luggage compartment. Arriving in two colorways, one takes on an olive/tan concoction while another, utilizes a darker and black-hued fabric. The bikes are co-branded with the “JiyongKim” branding on the front and the SUPER73’s “73” label on the back. Each o the bikes are made-to-order and are made exclusively for JiyongKim’s Fall/Winter 2024 exhibition in Seoul. The two exclusive e-bike models are releasing on April 19 and the exhibition for JiyongKim FW24 is open for one day to the public on April 20 at Noudit Ikseon.
