Testing Best-in-Class Gear and Footwear at COBRA PUMA GOLF’s Pop-Up at Hypegolf Invitational

COBRA PUMA GOLF left its mark at this year’s Hypegolf Invitational held at the Huntington Club on June 17. Golfers from the L.A. area and elsewhere celebrated a new frontier of golf centered on the sport’s intersection with fashion, art and culture. As players took to nine-hole course challenges, the COBRA PUMA GOLF pop-up invited players to test out the brand’s latest footwear, driver and iron releases.
COBRA GOLF hosted a long drive competition featuring Trackman‘s state-of-the-art i0 monitor, delivering real-time data on players’ shots. One by one, attendees took to the green to showcase their strongest swings for a chance of winning the brand’s latest DARKSPEED drivers.
Meticulously engineered for veteran players, the new family of DARKSPEED drivers, fairways and hybrids provide players remarkable speed, control and forgiveness during gameplay. With an adjustable weighting system and Advanced Aero Shaping featured in all three drivers, players can fine-tune forgiveness, launch, angle and spin while experiencing a buttery-smooth send-off at the tee.
The DARKSPEED LS, for example, is tournament-approved by Rickie Fowler, who recently snagged his sixth PGA Tour win and first victory since the Waste Management Phoenix Open in 2019. COBRA Golf has accompanied Fowler on the course since the athlete first turned professional in 2009. The DARKSPEED LS is aimed at lightning-fast swingers like Fowler, while the DARKSPEED X and DARKSPEED MAX find a comfortable sweet spot between speed and forgiveness for players of different experience levels.
Alongside this launch, COBRA GOLF has set another innovative precedent by debuting the first commercially available 3D-printed irons, the LIMIT3D™. In 2020, the brand launched the first-ever 3D-printed steel putter, followed by a full line of 3D-printed KING® putters. Conceptually, the LIMIT3D™ irons combine the shape and feel of a compact blade (traditionally desired by professionals) — with just enough forgiveness for practicing enthusiasts.
