The Girls Are Fighting Over AVAVAV and Eastpak's New Collaboration
First debuted on the viral fashion label’s Milan Fashion Week runway, the collection includes four durable bag designs with functionality at the fore.

Amidst all the rubbish hurled at AVAVAV’s Fall/Winter 2024 runway in Milan, only a keen eye would have spotted the viral label’s bag collaboration with Eastpak. But the brand’s shock-inducing designer, Beate Karlsson, did, in fact, craft a four-piece collection of statement-making carriers with the accessories imprint that cascaded down the chaotic catwalk. For those who missed it under the front row’s heaps of trash, it’s now here (and clean) to shop in all its glory.
“I wanted to design something that built on the Eastpak DNA, but that also introduced new AVAVAV silhouettes,” said Karlsson in a statement. “So I started with the most obvious base – the Padded Pak’r. I like the round organic shape of the Padded Pak’r, and I started to collage it in different ways, deconstructing and multiplying it to create new silhouettes. I like how it gives an almost utilitarian look when it’s multiplied, as on the Bum Bag and Reader styles.”

Enter the AV Double Pak’r, Karlsson’s renovation of the classic Padded Pak’r backpack with two handles, two zipper front pockets, a 16-inch laptop sleeve and a built-in mesh organizer. The AV Reader, as the designer mentioned, prioritizes functionality in the form of a duffle bag with spacious storage compartments in the shape of classic backpacks; and the AV Bum Bag similarly hosts three water-resistant, pack-inspired pockets, each with their own zippers.
Rounding out the lineup, the AV Mini Bag, which comes in black, white and green colorways, features a curvaceous silhouette with protective foam padding, enlarged reflective zippers and an adjustable shoulder strap. Karlsson noted that the Mini Bag “is based on our signature bag silhouette that we are launching early this year.”
The AVAVAV x Eastpak collection is now available to shop online and in select retailers, with prices ranging from $90 USD to $250 USD. Explore the line in the gallery above.
