MB&F Launches the LM Sequential Flyback

MB&F has unveiled the LM Sequential Flyback, an innovative timepiece that builds upon the groundbreaking features of the 2022 Legacy Machine Sequential EVO. This latest edition introduces a flyback function, enhancing its utility for both motor racing and aviation.

The LM Sequential EVO, MB&F’s first chronograph and 20th caliber, revolutionized the chronograph market with its “Twinverter” switch, enabling independent timing, split-second, cumulative and lap-timer modes. This exceptional innovation earned the EVO the prestigious GPHG “Aiguille d’Or” award. The new Flyback edition retains these modes and adds the flyback function, originally designed for pilots, allowing the chronograph to stop, reset and restart with a single press.

Housed in a platinum case with a fitting sky blue dial plate and white lacquered dials, the LM Sequential Flyback embodies classic Legacy Machine styling. It features a manual winding system, double mainspring, and a 72-hour power reserve. The watch’s dual chronographs are independently operated but can be synchronized using the Twinverter switch, providing functionality in various scenarios, from cooking to competitive sports.

The watch was developed by Stephen McDonnell, the same mind behind MB&F’s LM Perpetual. McDonnell’s innovative design includes an internally jeweled vertical clutch system, reducing friction and ensuring precision. The addition of a special jeweled roller in the flyback mechanism underscores the technical sophistication of the Flyback edition.

Limited to just 33 examples, the LM Sequential Flyaback Platinum is available upon request via MB&F and is priced at 188,000 CHF or $218,000 USD. For a closer look at the watch’s details, see the video below.
