Leica Unveils the Compact Yet Powerful D-Lux 8
The controls have been simplified and ergonomically repositioned.



Leica has unveiled the upcoming Leica D-Lux 8, set to launch this summer. This latest addition to the D-Lux series brings the renowned Leica experience into a compact and accessible form, continuing a legacy that began in 2003. The D-Lux 8 boasts a 4/3” CMOS sensor with 21 MP (17 MP effective) and features the fast Leica DC Vario-Summilux 10.9–34 f/1.7–2.8 ASPH. lens, equivalent to 24-75mm in a 35mm camera. Designed for both enthusiasts and professionals, the camera offers enhanced ergonomics and a user-friendly interface inspired by Leica Q-Cameras.
Notable features include seamless connectivity with the Leica FOTOS app and support for the versatile DNG format. The camera also includes a flash and offers a range of new accessories, such as hand grips, straps, and leather protectors, as well as various carrying bags. Additionally, the D-Lux 8 is equipped with an automatic lens cap and soft release buttons for added convenience. Users will appreciate the camera’s intuitive design and its ability to deliver exceptional image quality in a compact form.
The Leica D-Lux 8 will be available globally starting July 2, at Leica Stores, online, and authorized dealers, with a retail price of £1,450 GBP (approximately $1,840 USD).
