The Antarctique Green Meteor Is Czapek’s First Watch With a Meteorite Dial
A limited-production of 100.

Independant watchmaker Czapek has introduced a new and eye-catching rendition of its Antarctique model with a meteorite dial sporting a tantalizing green hue.
The Antarctique is recognized as a staple model for Czapek. Despite being launched merely four years ago, the independent watch house has always been rather experimental with the model, albeit with unusual textures or colors. With the Antarctique Green Meteor, not only does it solidify Czapek’s innovative nature, it’s also the first time the brand has ever used meteorite in their creations.
The specific type used in the making of this new reference is the Gibeon meteorite, which is believed to be almost around 600 million years old. Maintaining the brand’s love for textured watch faces, the meteorite dial exudes an infinitely deep three-dimensional appearance — an optical illusion created from the reaction between its geometric structure and light. While the meteorite is naturally gray, it’s been treated in multiple layers of luscious green lacquer.
“After creating the Antarctique Viridian Green in 2021, many collectors asked if we would do another green dial, so it has been very much in our minds,” said Czapek’s CEO Xavier de Roquemaurel adding that the decision to use meteorite was a coup de foudre moment. “I was visiting our partner, GT Cadrans, and held a disc of meteorite against my Antarctique. It looked so right with the style of the watch. And I immediately thought, why not do it in green – a cool tone of green that would complement the color of the steel case,” he explained.
Just like most Antarctique watches, this reference runs on an in-house SXH5 automatic caliber. A limited production of 100 examples, the Antarctique Green Meteor is available for pre-order through Czapek and its authorized retailers.
