Anthropic Launches App for Claude Chatbot With New Paid ‘Team’ Plan
Exclusively available on iOS devices.
Over a year after launching the first iteration of its Claude AI, Anthropic has rolled out an accompanying app for the chatbot.
The bot was already available for the public to use on the web and could be accessed through an online browser on one’s phone, though the app aims to make using it on a smaller device just a bit easier.
Available exclusively on iOS for the time being, the Claude app offers cross-usage across devices, meaning that if you’re chatting with the bot on your computer, you’re able to resume the same conversation right on your mobile device.
Perhaps the best feature of the new app is that users can upload photos directly from their iPhone’s library or snap them in real time within the app. Many users rely on Claude to translate text, so feeding the bot a photo of a street sign or a page of a book is a significantly quicker process.
Over the past few months, Anthropic has been building out various paid tiers of Claude, each of which is geared towards different uses, ranging from data analysis to answering more simple questions. The latest Claude 3 family offered three different bots: Haiku, Sonnet and Opus.
The app will offer a Claude Pro, the standard paid tier that allows for five-times the usage of the free version, alongside a new Claude Team plan. Team is a step up from Pro, designed for longer documents, and also encompasses all three of the new bots housed within Claude 3.
Anthropic’s Claude 3 app is available to download on iOS devices now.
