Check Out the Air Jordan 3 "Wings"
Embracing floral graphics throughout the new colorway.
Jordan Brand launched the Jordan Brand Wings Scholars Program in 2015 to award scholarships and resources to high school students committed to realizing their potential via education. Since then, thousands of scholarships have been funded through the Wings program, with Jordan Brand employees volunteering over 120,000 hours of their time. Funded in part by releases like the new Air Jordan 1 Mid “Subway,” it continues to see “Wings”-themed colorways release with this year’s pair utilizing the Air Jordan 3.
Following up on last year’s Air Jordan 2 “Wings” that honored the brand’s vice president, Howard “H” White, this Air Jordan 3 carries a floral theme. A gray and black elephant print adorns the mudguard and heel while a floral pattern hits a portion of the upper that includes the collar. From there, a white leather upper is accompanied by a translucent heel tab with Jumpman branding at the left shoe and Nike Air branding at the right shoe, resting atop a pink and gold flower. Red detailing is included at some of the eyestays and the tongue’s Jumpman logo while green joins in at the lining and the remaining eyestays. A motivational message can be spotted at the tongue’s interior tags, reading “Up, Rose… I too, have thorns.” From there, a semi-translucent pink outsole and a Wings-branded hangtag in rose gold accompanies the sneaker to round out the release.
At the time of writing, Jordan Brand has not disclosed when this “Wings” colorway of the Air Jordan 3 will be landing on shelves. Stay tuned for updates as it’s likely to arrive via Nike SNKRS and select retailers later this year at a price point of $210 USD.
