PUMA is known within the golf industry for its sponsorship of renowned players like Olympic silver medalist Rickie Fowler and major champion Lexi Thompson. Quiet Golf, on the other hand, is part of a pack of in-the-know golf apparel brands that appeals to creatives and streetwear enthusiasts. For the two brand’s first-ever collaboration, a throwback wardrobe of piqué polos, cable knit sweaters and pleated skirts has been delivered in QG’s signature earthy tones and embellished with a co-branded logo.

Who it’s for

Quiet Golf’s overarching ethos is that less is more, so as expected this is a collection for people who prefer to rock an understated look. However, the influence of PUMA will also be felt not just because of the iconic Jumping Cat logo, but also through the German brand’s know-how when it comes to integrating performance into everyday clothing. In that sense, you get the best of both worlds.

Although striped polos have been played out in golf, PUMA and Quiet Golf demonstrate how to do them right. The combination of white, green and brown is a pleasing color palate, and the embroidery on the left chest is just large enough to not be too intrusive. And for a classic golf silhouette such as this, it would only make sense to use a piqué cotton. The PUMA x QGC Sunday Stripe Polo also comes in a navy alternative, and it’s priced at $110 USD.

It’s time to rescue the quarter zip from the clutches of frat bros. Lo and behold: the half zip. This iteration has a higher collar than you would typically see on such a garment, and once again, it opts for a natural feel fabric over poly. The PUMA x QGC Half Zip comes in off-white or navy and a price tag of $180 USD.

In an unexpected remix of a classic golf shoe, Quiet Golf’s trademark paisley green finds its way onto the saddle section of PUMA’s Avant shoe. The brogue detailing on the saddle and heel gives them a timeless sensibility, while the spikeless outsole and ProFoam midsole keep them in the modern era. You can grab a pair for $180 USD.

Availability

The collection can be purchased on either Quiet Golf or PUMA GOLF‘s website now. If you miss out on any items, you can also shop it in person at QG’s flagship store in Costa Mesa, California beginning Saturday at 10AM.
