The Scooby-Doo franchise could be receiving new life over at Netflix.

Sources tell Variety that the series is currently “nearing a deal” “with a script-to-series commitment.” Plot details and the cast that will make up the Mystery Inc. gang are unconfirmed for now, but reports add that the project is being described as a “one-hour drama” with Warner Bros. Television producing. Josh Appelbaum and Scott Rosenberg will write and executive produce alongside André Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman, Jonathan Gabay and Adrienne Erickson.

This will mark the first live-action Scooby-Doo adaptation in over a decade following two TV films released in 2010 and 2009. Prior to those two projects, two live-action films starring Freddie Prinze Jr., Sarah Michelle Gellar, Matthew Lillard, Linda Cardellini and Neil Fanning were released in 2004 and 2002 and were hits at the box office.
