HUF Taps Into the World of Football With the Help of Umbro
Coded in nostalgia inspired by the British football clubs in the ’90s.
Football culture continues to thrive within the fashion world as the uniform has become a popular integral of current streetwear trends. HUF is the latest brand to join in on the craze, this time collaborating with the British football brand Umbro.
A heritage brand in the football world, Umbro lends its nostalgic track suits — including jackets and pants — alongside its jersey silhouettes to HUF to provide their own spin to the early 1990s-inspired British football club aesthetic. The pieces all feature co-branded logos, which is seen on the left chest of the track jacket and shorts as well as on the sleeves of the jacket. The logo is also front and center on the jerseys. The pieces take on a loose and boxy fit reminiscent of team kits at the time. The jersey and pants feature an all-over textile pattern that combines both brands’ monikers, resembling that of an actual football team. It appears that the capsule collaboration drops in two colorways in a green and white and black and white, colors that represent the Umbro and HUF brand.
