Daniel Arsham Announces Final 'Pokémon' Release
The “Crystalized Seated Pikachu Edition” will drop later this week.

Daniel Arsham has officially announced his final Pokémon release. To mark the end of his collaboration with The Pokémon Company, the artist took to Instagram to reveal that his last piece will be available for purchase by the end of the week.
Capping it all off with the Crystalized Seated Pikachu Edition, which he explained that he sculpted out of clay “and then cast it in various materials.” In the Instagram announcement, Arsham also stated that, “Versions of this work in Bronze have shown around the world.” The piece features the artist’s signature erosion details and sees the iconic Pikachu in white.
Arsham began his Pokémon collaboration in 2018 and later expanded his collection to include many of some of the biggest characters from the Pokémon world. From characters like Charizard to Pikachu, Arsham’s fictional archeology theme brought Pokémon into a new realm of art. The concept has been well-received globally, known for his stone and quartz erosion technique that have allowed Arsham to explore the sculptural relics through his own contemporary lens.
The Crystalized Seated Pikachu Edition will be available starting on may 3 at 12 p.m. ET online.
