BAPE Celebrates 31st Anniversary With Tee Capsule
Out on April 13.
To this day, A BATHING APE a.k.a. BAPE has been one of the most recognized and widely celebrated names in streetwear. 31 years later, the brand is still going strong. So to celebrate its 31st anniversary, the brand is releasing a special tee capsule.
The capsule features three special tee shirt designs that lean into Nigo’s founding of the brand on April 1, 1994 in Harajuku, Japan. The first design features a large 31 design accentuated by BAPE’s signature camo – seeing green, blue and red/pink colorways across white tees. Next up is the core APE HEAD logo that says “31” alongside the brand’s full name underneath. This option comes in white and black tees.
Rounding out the offering is a graphic tee design that includes the APE HEAD once again surrounded by a Japanese cloud pattern, Japanese characters and the brand’s name. This style sees deep blue and white designs across beige and navy blue tees. Completing the capsule is a commemorative anniversary sticker with the purchases.
