Original Story: When it comes to Jordan Brand, you can expect classic silhouettes like the Air Jordan 1, 3 and 4 to make constant appearances each year. However, it also looks to mix things up with its annual lineups as well. For 2024, a key contributor is the Air Jordan 17 Low, which just under a year ago was rumored to be returning. Now, after the silhouette was teased in its “Lightning” colorway during the brand’s summer preview, a first look at the Air Jordan 17 Low “UNC” has been shared.

Taking on the colors of Michael Jordan’s alma mater, the upcoming release combines white across its textured leather upper and “University Blue” at the collar, midsole and heel. A metallic silver then enlivens the heel portion of the midsole, as well as the eyelets. While the above pair is said to be a sample, it’s likely to arrive in this exact color blocking later this year. To justify the $300 USD price tag, the pair is expected to arrive with its own special silver briefcase, which previously came with the high-top version of the shoe.

At the time of writing, we’re still awaiting confirmation from Jordan Brand regarding the release details of this “UNC” colorway of the Air Jordan 17 Low. Stay tuned for updates as it’s currently expected to land on shelves starting on August 28 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $300 USD.
