A Full Look at Aimé Leon Dore's First Golf Collection
Featuring classic golf garments updated for the modern golfer.

After teasing a golf collection on Wednesday, Queens-based Aimé Leon Dore is set to release it to the public. Already the news has generated plenty of conversation within the wider golf community.
Some see it as a confirmation, and perhaps validation, that’s fashion increasing interest in golf signals a positive shift in its perception among the next generation, while others have dismissed it as yet another money grab from a brand looking to benefit from the hype.
But the fact is that many Aimé Leon Dore customers have likely been playing golf for some years now and shopping micro brands like Malbon, Metalwood or even some of ALD’s more golf-appropriate pieces. As a whole the collection won’t look out of place next to the brand’s typical offerings, but up close people will appreciate considerations for performance.
Among the highlights is a light fleece vest featuring a streamlined ALD Golf logo on the left chest. The piece comes in green or navy and has a unique paneled zipper pocket at the left shoulder, plus a slightly cropped fit at the waist. Elsewhere, a conventionally fitting polo recalls golf styles of the 90s worn by the likes of young Tiger Woods and his longtime friend Mark O’Meara. In either navy or off-white, the micro diamond pattern across the torso contrasts with knit cuffs and a tipped collar. Finally, the wide leg trousers are a pleasing combination of modern and classic with pleated detailing at the waist and a utility pocket at the hips. The lightweight fabric makes them suitable for all seasons.
