For years New Balance and BEAMS have been working together – revealing collaborative editions of the M2002R, 996, 990v5 and more. Well now the brands are continuing their relationship with the New Balance for Beams BB550 “Crazy Navy.”

For its latest, the two brands have taken New Balance’s 1980 basketball shoe and tossed in several cool shades of blue including vintage indigo, arctic, light arctic and navy. Additionally a part of a bespoke series, the shoe retains its low profile and paneled leather build. The multitude of hues appear across the shoe’s entirely ranging from the leather upper to the rubber midsole and outsole. But what’s also striking about the design is that the right and left shoe mix of the color configurations.

Finishing off the shoe are details like are navy and light arctic New Balance “N” logos, embossed NB logos on the heels, white laces, a white midsole and a navy outsole. Take a closer look at the shoes in the gallery above.

Retailing for ¥22,000 (approximately $147 USD), the New Balance for BEAMS BB550 “Crazy Navy” is set to release on March 16. The shoe is now available for pre-order on BEAMS’ website.
