Karl Lagerfeld’s Futuristic Paris Apartment Sells for $10.8M USD
The late designer had lived in the apartment for 10 years up until his death.

The Paris apartment of Karl Lagerfeld has sold for $10.8 million USD (€10 million EUR), just over double the guide price.
The apartment is housed in a 17th-century building in the city’s Saint-Thomas d’Aquin district, overlooking the Seine. The late Fendi and Chanel head had lived in the apartment for ten years up until his death in 2019.
Prior to moving in, the designer had remodeled the apartment in a “futuristic style,” according to the notary, adding in concrete floors and walls of sandblasted glass. Other features included a kitchen made entirely out of stainless steel and glass bookcases.
The apartment itself spanned 2,800 square feet (260 square meters) with a 540 square feet (50 square meters) dressing room.
Most of the art and furniture that decorated Lagerfeld’s apartment was sold at a Sotheby’s auction.
The notary announced the sale on Tuesday but declined to reveal the identity of the buyer.
