Independent U.S. Watchmaker Fleming Launches with Series 1 Timepiece
Available in three different limited edition variants.

Fleming, a new U.S.-based independent luxury watchmaker has announced its entry into the scene with the debut of its Series 1 Launch Edition watch — available in three limited edition variations. Beyond a timepiece, Series 1 Launch Edition, the brainchild of CEO Thomas Fleming, is designed to be a statement of art, precision and American innovation married to Swiss craftsmanship.
Notably, the Launch Edition took over three years of meticulous development and collaboration to complete and stands out with its 38.5mm case available in three distinct materials: rose gold, platinum, and tantalum. Each version is a limited edition, with the rose gold variant produced in just seven pieces, the platinum in nine and the tantalum in twenty-five, each of which is uniquely numbered.
At the heart of Series 1 is the Caliber FM-01, a masterpiece developed in partnership with the acclaimed Jean-François Mojon and his team at Chronode. The watch boasts hand-decorated dials crafted by the artisans at Comblémine, led by the esteemed Kari Voutilainen, ensuring that each piece is a singular work of art. The pricing reflects the exclusivity and craftsmanship involved, with the rose gold variant retailing for 55,291 USD, the platinum for 58,711 USD and the tantalum for 51,871 USD.
The design ethos of Series 1 emphasizes cohesion and visual appeal, with special attention paid to the case, lugs and dial, so that each angle offers a captivating view. The movement features semi-skeletonized bridges that allow a close-up view of the watch’s inner workings, complemented by hand-polished chamfers and black-polished balance bridges.
Fleming’s commitment to comfort and wearability is also made evident through details like the carefully considered strap thickness and taper to the anti-reflective coatings on the crystal. Adding to the brand’s allure is its association with Norwegian tennis star Casper Ruud, who dons the Series 1 Launch Edition both on and off the court. Ruud, a watch collector and Fleming stakeholder, is also collaborating with the brand on the development of the Series 1 Ghost, a lighter, more versatile iteration of the original.
