BIG and HNTB Craft a Home Run for Las Vegas with Athletics' New Ballpark
Framed by panoramic views and the world’s largest glass wall.

Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) and HNTB have unveiled their winning design for the Athletics’ future ballpark, a striking new landmark destined for the Las Vegas Strip. Slated to debut in spring 2028, this ambitious project promises a 33,000-seat marvel, sprawling over nine acres and perfectly positioned to capture the city’s electric essence.
With a design that celebrates both the sport and its surroundings, the ballpark features a distinctive, pennant-inspired roof that elegantly balances sunlight and shadow. This innovative structure is crowned with the world’s largest cable net glass wall, ensuring every game is set against a backdrop of shimmering Las Vegas vistas.
Accessibility is key in this design, with multiple entrances and an elevated plaza seamlessly integrating the stadium with the city. Inside, the experience is just as grand, boasting the largest jumbotron in Major League Baseball and thoughtfully designed seating that ensures an intimate connection to the on-field action.
Beyond baseball, it’s a multi-purpose venue poised to host a variety of events, enriching Las Vegas’s already vibrant entertainment scene. With plans for adjacent developments, including a hotel and casino, this project marks a significant addition to the city, inviting fans and visitors to immerse themselves in a new kind of spectacle.
