Coperni Rides the Wind With Its Air Swipe Bag
Made from 99% air and 1% glass.
From its sleekly sexy dresses to its popular curved handbags that have appeared in glass, denim and leather fabrications and even its viral spray-painted dress worn by Bella Hadid, Coperni has been a continuously discussed name across fashion in recent years. The brand has managed to constantly produce viral moments/pieces alongside RTW pieces that fit the everyday bill. Now the French brand has done it once again with its new Air Swipe Bag.
Out of its entire catalog, the Swipe Bag has been one of Coperni’s focal offerings – seen on figures like Doja Cat and Kylie Jenner down to the everyday fashion girl. The brand is upping the stakes by harnessing the power of the wind with its new version. Developed by Professor Ioannis Michaloudis, the Air Swipe Bag appears with a shocking construction of 99% air and 1% glass with a weight of 33 grams. Additionally, the bag is made from NASA’s nanomaterial silica aerogel, which is the lightest solid in the world.

Almost appearing to be cloud-like, the bag is also the largest piece to ever be crafted from the nanomaterial. Although the bag has just surfaced via the brand’s Instagram page, it is sure to make its debut at the brand’s FW24 show during Paris Fashion Week today.
