Tiger Woods Is Set to Make His 2024 Season Debut
Amid rumors of a “next chapter” announcement.
Tiger Woods will be making his first official start of the season at next week’s Genesis Invitational, he confirmed on Wednesday morning via Instagram. The 48 year old, who is also the official host of the Los Angeles tournament, previously made his return from injury at December’s Hero World Challenge and subsequently the PNC Championship alongside son Charlie.
Tiger’s form and body overall looks to be in better shape compared to when he made his last appearance of the 2023 season at the Masters, where he was forced to withdraw with plantar fasciitis. However, the state of Tiger’s game will be only one of the focal points when he arrives on the west coast next week.
Ever since his endorsement deal with Nike was not renewed, speculation has run rampant as to Tiger’s next landing spot. An answer appears to have come to the fore with “Sunday Red,” a joint venture between TaylorMade and Tiger Woods. Trademarks filed with the US Patent and Trademark Office showed a set of logos and goods and services encompassing apparel, gear and more. Then yesterday, Woods posted a cryptic message across his social media accounts with the date 2/12/24, suggesting a potential announcement the Monday before the tournament.

Stay tuned for more details on that announcement, but in the meantime keep in mind that the Genesis Invitational will take place February 15-18 and be broadcast on ESPN+, Golf Channel and CBS.
