Teezo Touchdown Covers Talking Heads' "Making Flippy Floppy"
The latest cut from A24’s ‘Everyone’s Getting Involved’ Talking Heads tribute album.
Teezo Touchdown‘s contribution to A24‘s Talking Heads tribute album has surfaced. The enigmatic rapper covered the group’s 1983 hit “Making Flippy Floppy” for the production company’s Everyone’s Getting Involved project, which also expects cuts from Jean Dawson, Kevin Abstract, Miley Cyrus and many others.
A24 tapped Teezo to share a trailer for the offering on Instagram yesterday, which sees the rapper slowly start to put his own spin on the track. He writes “Making Flippy Floppy” down on his signature yellow sticky notes and fastens them to the wall before previewing his take on the Stop Making Sense cut. “Everybody, get in line,” he says straight to the camera.

“Attack the comments under my new collab post with A24 with yellow squares,” he shared in an Instagram story.
While Everyone’s Getting Involved still has no official release date, it’s shaping up to be an impressive compilation. Paramore presented the album’s first track, a cover of “Burning Down the House,” at the end of last month. Lorde, girl in red, BADBADNOTGOOD and Toro y Moi are also on the tracklist.
Stream Teezo’s cover of “Making Flippy Floppy” on Spotify and Apple Music now, and stay tuned to Hypebeast for more updates on the album.
