Girard-Perregaux’s Latest Bridges Model Is Fitted With Meteorite Fragments
Avant-garde design meets cutting edge technology.

The latest addition to Girard-Perregaux’s Bridges Collection is the Free Bridge Meteorite model.
An embodiment of the Maison’s avante-garde vision and cutting-edge technology, the 44mm watch features lume-filled and suspended indices that elegantly frame its meticulously crafted mechanical movement. The core of the timepiece is the GP01800-2085 in-house caliber, which operates at an astounding rate of 28,800 beats per hour with a minimum of 54 hours of power reserve.
The talk of the timepiece is its hour wheel bridge that’s adorned with two meteorite plates. The material was sourced from the Gibeon meteorite that was found in Namibia, which boasted a composition that’s rich with iron-nickel alloy, cobalt, and phosphorous. Its naturally occurring Widmanstätten pattern exudes an alluring tonal contrast that pairs brilliantly with the watch’s black, gray and silver color scheme.
Priced at $25,700 USD, the Free Bridge Meteorite will be available via Girard-Perregaux in March. For more details regarding the timepiece, head over to the watchmaker’s official website.
