The 40th anniversary of the Air Jordan 1 is nearly upon us and there is no shortage of releases involving the classic silhouette to look forward to in 2025. From high-powered collaborations to classic colorways, early looks and rumors have brought some much-needed excitement back to the AJ1.

Adding to the chaos, a new rumor from zSneakerHeadz and Sneaker Files indicates that Nigel Sylvester will be revisiting the sneaker, outfitting the Air Jordan 1 Low OG in a new “Nitro” colorway. Sylvester is hot off of a two-part Air Jordan 4 RM collaboration and is already expected to drop a “BIKE AIR” version of the Air Jordan 4 next spring. As for his take on the AJ1 Low OG, a speculative mock-up offers an idea as to what we may see from the duo as it dons a color scheme of “Black,” “Muslin” and “Varsity Red.”

At the time of writing, neither Nigel Sylvester nor Jordan Brand have indicated that they have an Air Jordan 1 Low OG collaboration in the works. Stay tuned for updates, including a first look at the shoe, as it is currently rumored to drop next fall via Nike SNKRS and select retailers.
