Nike's Valentine's Day Cortez Says "Love is in the Pair"
With a hidden message behind the tongue tab and hearts galore adorning the festive model.
After wrapping the Cortez in luxurious suede for Valentine’s Day 2024, now Nike offers a playful variant of its beloved retro sneaker covered in hearts for the forthcoming lover’s holiday.
The 2025 Valentine’s Day Cortez boasts primary red textile uppers printed with small tonal hearts, accented with red suede heel counters, toe caps and eyestays. The red tongue and laces contrast with a white wordmark tab adorned with embroidered pink hearts, matching with the white heel tabs, midsoles and the leather Nike swoosh overlays.
Retro pixelated hearts are printed onto the insoles hidden inside the shoe, along with “Love is in the Pair” appearing behind the tongue tab. Finally, special half-heart charms come with the sneakers, mirroring the pixelated style found on the insoles.
The pair accompanies the Ja 2 “Heart Eyes” and Dunk Low “Roses,” in Nike’s line-up of Valentine’s Day-themed kicks line-up. The Valentine’s Day Nike Cortez is set for release by February 2025 via Nike’s web store, just in time for the annual festivity.
