Longines Captures Presents Limited-Edition Chronograph That Captures a Skiing Spirit
Aptly named the Conquest Chrono Ski Edition.
As the official timekeeper for the 48th FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, Longines has revealed a special edition Conquest chronograph to celebrate and commemorate the biennial sporting event.
Aptly named the Conquest Chrono Ski Edition, the reference comes encased in a 42mm-sized stainless steel build, which boasts polished and satin alternating finishes. A black ceramic bezel is fitted, mirroring the trio of subcounters that are set against an anthracite dial. The grayscale-orientated palette is imbued with touches of bright red, while Super-LumiNova® is implemented on the indices, as well as at the tip of the central chrono seconds hands for optimal readability.
The watch is powered by the L898.5 caliber, geared with magnetic resistance and up to 56 hours of continuous running time. Gracing the caseback, a skier in action is depicted in the form of a large engraving, while “SAALBACH 2025-FIS ALPINE WORLD SKI CHAMPIONSHIPS” and “LIMITED EDITION – ONE OF 2025” engravings frame around the image.
The biennial championship will take place from February 4 -16, 2025 in Saalbach/Salzburgerland. Retailing for $4,300 USD via the brand’s webstore, the Longines Conquest Chrono Ski Edition is releasing in a limited production of 2,025 examples. In addition to a stainless steel bracelet, the timepiece also provides a black rubber strap with a double-security folding clasp.
