Marvel Could Renew 'Agatha All Along' For a Second Season
As the studio is reportedly submitting the Disney+ series in the comedy categories.
Marvel Television Studios could be renewing Agatha All Along for a second season.
Variety reports that Marvel is planning to submit the Disney+ series in the comedy categories of the likes of the Golden Globes, Emmy Awards and SAG Awards rather than the limited series/miniseries categories. Since the Television Academy describes a limited series as a program that tells “a complete, non-recurring story and not have an ongoing storyline or main characters in subsequent seasons,” Marvel’s decision could possibly hint that a new season with the main characters and the same storyline is in development.
Neither Disney nor Marvel have officially announced a second season. Variety adds that the studios will have to prove to the Academy that subsequent seasons are in the works.
Agatha All Along sees the return of Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness, and she is joined by Joe Locke, Debra Jo Rupp, Aubrey Plaza, Sasheer Zamata and Ali Ahn.
